American Concrete Company held an employee and customer appreciation event at the Woodburn Drag Strip. More than 150 people showed up to watch the nostalgia drag races–NHRA sanctioned Hot Rod National time trials–on the track which had been recently resurfaced for Woodburn Drag strip by ACC. ACC crews performed what is commonly known as bump grinding, or profile grinding, to smooth out the surface of the concrete track. Reportedly record times were achieved afterward. Customers and employees in attendance were treated to food, drink, and a fun time. Stay tuned, as this event may become an annual tradition!
