ACC adds Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Scanning

ACC adds Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Scanning to services. In order to better serve our customers, and provide critical data prior to saw cutting or drilling, we now have the ability to locate rebar and conduits. Using the latest technology of nondestructive testing, to read densities of materials to locate various objects. Ideally suited for locating rebar or other imbedded objects up to 18 inches deep.

ACC Participates in C-Stop Program

American Concrete Company employees furthered their safety dedication through participation in the C-Stop program. Learn more at http://c-stop.org/, the eight-hour C-Stop class, bolsters the other yearly ACC safety trainings and is testament to the success of lowering our mod rating to 0.82.

New Equipment

ACC Safety Celebration

ACC employees, local school teachers, administrators, and friends recently joined to celebrate American Concrete Company’s achievement of 75,000 man-hours safely worked on all projects by dedicating a new American flag and pole at ACC, hoisted for the first time by a recently returning member of the Armed Forces. ACC also contributed $5,000 to the local and newly organized Coburg Charter school to use on a safety-oriented project. Charter School Executive Director Terry Hoagland received the award on behalf of the school, stating it was much needed and appreciated, as the charter school has to raise 20% of its own funds to operate.

American Concrete Company Employee & Customer Appreciation Event

American Concrete Company held an employee and customer appreciation event at the Woodburn Drag Strip. More than 150 people showed up to watch the nostalgia drag races–NHRA sanctioned Hot Rod National time trials–on the track which had been recently resurfaced for Woodburn Drag strip by ACC. ACC crews performed what is commonly known as bump grinding, or profile grinding, to smooth out the surface of the concrete track. Reportedly record times were achieved afterward. Customers and employees in attendance were treated to food, drink, and a fun time. Stay tuned, as this event may become an annual tradition!
